Tony has worked in the Building Products Industry for over 15 years, with the last ten years in senior executive and consulting roles. Tony believes that Co-op's have the strongest value proposition in business, primarily based around returning profits to members. "It is something that I never really understood before joining the Plumbers Co-op". Tony has used the fundamental principles of Co-ops in developing new strategies to grow the number of new members to the Plumbers Co-op, something that he hopes to play a part in at the Co-operative Federation of NSW.

Deputy Chairman Jim Sneesby
Jim Sneesby has been a Director of the Co-operative Federation of NSW since 2003. He is a cane farmer from northern NSW, having served as a Director and Chairman of the NSW Sugar Milling Co-operative Limited for a number of years and as a Director and Secretary of a sugar cane harvesting co-operative since 1974. Jim believes that the principles of co-operation, which allow people or organisations voluntarily to meet common economic, social and cultural needs, provide an opportunity for sustainable development within communities driven by a co-operative's members. That is - the needs and expectations of a community can be met and a service is provided for those communities. "We should all be enthusiastic and passionate about where we live and those around us". |

Assistant Secretary

|
Helen McCall
Helen came to co-operatives via her accounting practice in Sydney where she had many community organisations as clients, several of which were co-operatives. When she sold her practice she kept her hand in by going onto the Federation board. In 2001 Don Kinnersley wanted to retire and he convinced Helen to take on the job - big shoes to fill, but we each do our job in different ways, with the different skills we bring with us. In 2011 Helen retired as Executive Officer but she continues her association with the Federation by organising and running training, providing advice where necessary and maintaining the website content and the books of account. Helen believes in the power that we obtain when we work together and tries to convince others of this self-evident truth.
